About the Seminar

The adage of publish or perish has hit Asia with full force. In this presentation, Professor Hallinger will share perspectives and strategies on publication in international refereed journals. He will also share practical strategies that faculty can employ to create a sustainable foundation for long-term publication.

About the Speaker

Professor Philip Hallinger is a world-renowned scholar in leadership and change, with a special emphasis in the areas of leadership, management education, and school improvement. He has published more than 200 articles and book chapters, and is currently the Chief Co-editor of the Journal of Educational Administration. In 2014, Professor Hallinger received the Excellence in research Award from the American Educational Research Association, and the Roald F. Campbell Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions in research, teaching and service in educational administration from the University Council for Educational Administration in the USA.

Professor Hallinger received his Doctorate in Administration and Policy Analysis from Stanford University (USA). He worked for eight years as Chief Academic Officer and Professor of Management for the College of Management, Mahidol University (Thailand). For more than 13 years, he was Professor of Leadership and Organizations and Director of the Centre for the Advanced Study of Educational Leadership at Peabody College, Vanderbilt University (USA). He was also Director of the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC), the Hong Kong Institute of Education. He is currently a professor at Chulalongkorn University (Thailand).

As a prolific author, trainer and consultant, Professor Hallinger has lived in Asia for over the past 20 years and has worked extensively with leaders in both private and education sector organizations.

Professor Philip Hallinger
